What is the Ceilidh Club?
The Ceilidh Club is a taste of Scotland in London. Enjoy 3 hours of the best fun – a live band with a caller to guide you through the steps – it’s perfect for the absolute beginner or the experienced ceilidh dancer. Don’t worry if you don’t know the steps – each dance is explained before you do it and the caller will keep you right when dancing. Nobody is looking at your feet and other dancers will help you on your way.
There’s a lovely cafe, traditional bar and the nicest cloakroom staff you’ll find anywhere. The cafe serves home cooked light meals and the bar is well priced.
What is the schedule for the Ceilidh Club night?
The doors open at 7PM and dancing is from 8-11 with a break halfway to catch your breath. The dance floor is sprung and perfect for dancing. There is no dress code but tartan is always appreciated (and you look good in it too). The hall has recently been renovated and there is an air calling system in place, however please remember to wear something comfy for dancing.
How much are tickets for the Ceilidh Club?
There are two ways to get full price tickets – either in advance or on the door. The nights often sell out so we advise that you buy your tickets in advance. Tickets cost £16.50 and you can buy them from this site. We use Paypal, however you do not need to have a Paypal account to buy tickets. You can simply use your credit / debit card. Paypal are however keen to sign you up and so you may find that they do not accept your card if you have used it with them a few times. This is annoying but can be overcome by using a different card or getting someone else to buy your ticket. The tickets are virtual. All you need to bring along is your Paypal receipt. You will sometimes get another email with a QR code. You can bring this along too, although we don’t use the QR code.
Concession tickets are only available on the door. They cost £10 and are available to students, unemployed and retired. Please bring proof of status with you. It is cash only on the door and sales are limited to 4 tickets per person. Tickets are sold first come first served on the door to whoever wants them (full price or concession) and it is cash only on the door.
