What is the Ceilidh Club?
The Ceilidh Club is a taste of Scotland in London. Enjoy 3 hours of the best fun in town. There’s a live band with a caller who guides you through the steps. It’s perfect for the absolute beginner or the experienced ceilidh dancer. Don’t worry if you don’t know the steps – the caller explains each dance before you do it. Nobody looks at your feet and other dancers help you on your way.
There’s a reasonable bar (reasonable for London anyway) and the nicest cloakroom staff in the world.
What is the schedule for the Ceilidh Club night?
The doors open at 7PM and dancing is from 8-11 with a break halfway to catch your breath. The dance floor is sprung and perfect for dancing. There is no dress code however you look good in tartan (hint, hint). Please remember to wear something comfy for dancing. The night ends with the Robert Burns Song Auld Lang Syne
How much are tickets for the Ceilidh Club?
There are two ways to get full price tickets – either in advance or on the door. The nights often sell out so we advise you buy your tickets in advance. Tickets cost £17.00 and you can buy them from this site.
We use Paypal and Stripe to process payment.
You do not need to have a Paypal account to use the service. You can simply use your credit / debit card. Paypal are however keen to sign you up and so you may find that they do not accept your card if you have used it with them a few times. This is annoying but is overcome by using a different card or someone else buying your ticket. Alternatively you can use Stripe.
The tickets are virtual. All you need to bring along is your Paypal /Stripe receipt. You will sometimes get another email with a QR code. You can bring this along too, although we don’t use the QR code.
Concession tickets are only available on the door. They cost £10 and are available to students, unemployed, retired and NHS staff. Please bring proof of status with you. It is cash only on the door and sales are limited to 4 tickets per person. Tickets are sold first come first served to whoever wants them (full price or concession).
