What is the London Ceilidh Club?

The Ceilidh Club is a taste of Scotland in London. Enjoy 3 hours of the best fun – a live band keeps you moving and a caller guides you through the steps – it’s perfect for the absolute beginner or the experienced ceilidh dancer!

Here are some things to remember…

  • A caller explains each dance before you do it and gives instructions during the dance. It helps if you listen to the caller, furthermore try to dance considerately. Other dancers help you on your way so all you have to do is get stuck in and dance your socks off!
  • There’s a bar and the nicest cloakroom staff you’ll find anywhere.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE CEILIDH CLUB NIGHT?

The doors open at 7pm and dancing is from 8-11pm with a break halfway to catch your breath. The sprung dance floor is great and the hall has an air cooling system – however, please remember to wear something comfy for dancing. The night ends with the Robert Burns Song Auld Lang Syne.

WHERE IS QUEEN’S GATE HOUSE?

Queen’s Gate House is at 65-67 Queen’s Gate, SW7 5JS. The nearest tube stations are Gloucester Road and South Kensington.

HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?

Tickets cost £23 full price and you can buy them directly from our website. We use Stripe, a trusted and secure payment platform that accepts all major credit and debit cards.

Concession tickets are £17 and are eligible for students, unemployed individuals, retired individuals, NHS staff, and Blue Light card holders. Please remember to bring valid proof of your status on the event day to claim your concession ticket.

  • Our tickets are virtual, saving you the hassle of carrying paper copies. Simply bring along your Stripe receipt, and you’re all set for an unforgettable evening.
  • You may receive an additional email containing a QR code, but don’t worry, we don’t use it for entry. Your Stripe receipt is all you need!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

There is no dress code, but wear something comfy for dancing – it gets warm. Tartan is always appreciated and you look good in it too!

PLEASE NOTE YOU CANNOT BRING ANY ALCOHOL INTO THE PREMISES.
