Welcome to the London Ceilidh Club!

The
Ceilidh Club is a taste of Scotland in London. Enjoy 3 hours of the best fun – with a live band that keeps you moving and a caller guiding you through the steps – it’s perfect for the absolute beginner or the experienced ceilidh dancer.

Caller Guidance
A caller explains each dance before you begin and provides instructions throughout the dance. Listening to the caller is key, and remember to dance considerately.
Don’t worry if you’re new – these ceilidhs are perfect for the absolute beginner or the most experienced ceilidh dancer!

Facilities
There’s a lovely
café, traditional bar, and the nicest cloakroom staff you’ll find anywhere. The cafe serves home-cooked light meals and the bar is reasonable (for London, anyway).

How much are the tickets?

Full Price: £23 or Concession*: £17 (*Available for students, unemployed individuals, retired individuals, NHS staff, and Blue Light Card holders – valid proof required)

What ceilidh band is playing?

Stay tuned! As we get closer to the each event date, we post about which talented ceilidh bands will be playing each upcoming event. Follow us on social media below for updates and ceilidh band announcements:

Where will the Ceilidh Club be?

We will be at Cecil Sharp House

Venue Address:
2 Regent’s Park Road
London, NW1 7AY United Kingdom

We have been holding ceilidhs at Cecil Sharp House since 1998. The main hall is very large with a beautiful mural, banked seating around the side and a wonderful sprung floor. The nearest tube is Camden Town.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code, but wear something comfy for dancing – it gets warm. Tartan is always appreciated and you look good in it too!

Dance Floor Etiquette

While we encourage everyone to enjoy dancing with different partners, we also value consent and respect personal boundaries. If someone declines a dance, please be respectful and accept their decision gracefully.

Remember, the spirit of ceilidh dancing is about joy and camaraderie, and we appreciate your cooperation in creating a positive experience for all.

Important Notes:

Alcohol Policy: you cannot bring any alcohol into the premises.
