First off is the artist Colin Duncan who has recently completely an 18 month project with the charity Trees for Life, the charity that is replanting the great Caledonian forest, west of Inverness. Originally the forest covered an estimated 1.5 million hectares with indiginous trees such as Scots Pine, Rowan, Juniper, Aspen and Birch. The West Coast saw Oak and Birch trees with mosses, lichen and ferns in abundance. Colin’s work in oil, watercolour and charcoal captures the beauty of the forest today.
