Harrods – Scottish Goods for Sale
Harrods is perhaps London’s most famous shop and one of the oldest luxury retail stores in the world. Not just that but it sells some top Scottish goods as well. So if you fancy doing some posh shopping then drop by to their store (nearest tube stations are Knightbridge, South Ken, Sloane Square). It’s obviously a busy shop, so getting there early (or late) may make it a quieter shopping experience.
Harrods Opening Times / Hours
Monday – Saturday: 10am – 9pm
Sunday: 11.30am* – 6pm * Browsing only 11.30am to 12pm
For the past a hundred and sixty years the store has been providing high quality goods and if you after some Scottish goods you can find around 40 Scottish whiskies including some of our personal favourites: The Macallan, Lagavulin and Highland Park. There’s whisky for drinking now, whisky for for drinking later or whisky for investing – we’ve never been that disciplined but apparently it’s a thing.
Gin is also represented at Harrods, although with over 70 % of the UK’s gin production in Scotland you may have expected a slightly better choice (no Rock Rose? no Edinburgh Gin?). They do have the Botanist and Gordon Castle and we hope / expect their Scottish gin collection to grow over the years – get on trend guys.
We were surprised to find a chilli vodka for sale. Hailing from the Arbikie estate and using the chilli from Scotland first chilli farm Chillilicious it seems a match made in heaven. We’re not sure if we’re brave enough to try it out, but do let us know if you do……
There’s a find selection of cashmere goods at Harrods. Not all say they are made in Scotland, but a fair few are: Beautifully warm, comfortable, stylish cashmere can be yours (if your wallet is big enough).
Other than that there is the odd box of Walkers shortbread. If you find any other Scottish goods for sale then do contact us
If you are in need of a night out after all that shopping come and see us at The Ceilidh Club
PS Don’t forget that you can splash out on an Afternoon Tea and get your Harrod’s bag so you can let everyone know that you’ve been there!
